Mrs. L. Martinez's 2nd-grade class planted seeds in the Air Gardyn in January and wrote in their plant journal up until now. This week, they harvested their garden and enjoyed eating salad from the vegetables. They enjoyed eating their hard work!

Vista Colorado went on a walking field trip today to the CHP office, the library, and had lunch out on the softball field. The weather was nice, and the students and staff had a great time.

Vista Colorado 4th and 5th graders got the opportunity to hear the journeys of some published authors. The authors included Kat Smith, Sheila Miller, and NUSD’s very own Gabriela Orosco Belt. What a great opportunity for our students.

Last week was Read Across America Week. Vista had many fun activities including a visit from the NHS Cheerleaders and Mustang Mike. They visited the second grade and read to the students. It was a great time for all.
