Needles community came to NHS Thursday night for the Community Pep Rally and senior class bonfire. The Grand Marshall & guest speaker Danny Medrano got the night of games and fun off to a good start. The traditional bonfire is always a community favorite.

NHS's annual Homecoming Week Powder Puff games. Congratulations to the Sophomore Class of 2026 for winning volleyball and the Junior Class of 2025 for winning in sudden death for football. It was a fun night for the students, parents, and community.

Our NHS Cheerleaders, Mustang Mike, and the mini cheerleaders supported “Pink Out.” Their half time performance was great and fun for all.

The MPS Eagle delivered an invitation for the Strive for 95 ice cream party. They were able to invite 43% of their students who achieved 95% or better attendance. Way to go MPS.

NHS held three sessions of the first digital PSAT testing last week for students. At NUSD we will keep up with things to come. In spring 2024 the SAT will become digital as well.

Needles Middle School held its first pep assembly last week. Students with 95% or better attendance were able to throw water balloons at Principal Dr. Wilson. A fun way to end their week.

On October 11th NUSD received a visit from The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Ted Alejandre. He and his staff toured our sites, watched a performance by the Bird Singers, and attended lunch with community officials at El Garces.
