NHS Chess and Checkers Club is having a tournament. 32 players started this double-elimination tournament and cash prizes will be awarded. Students meet at lunch to challenge their skills and have success against their peers.
Needles Middle School has some fun lunchtime activities for their students this month. Starting with 16 teams they are holding a corn hole tournament that will last all month. What a great way to enjoy their time.

Congratulations NHS Mustangs for bringing home TWO State Championships. Both girls and boys teams are 2A State Champions in basketball. Way to go Mustangs!

The playground can be used as a fun place to read during Walk to Read in 2nd grade. Vista Colorado Elementary is finding fun new ways to reinforce their reading. Keep it up Colts.

NHS Mini Chef’s Club took part in the Super Bowl Festivities. Students traveled to Las Vegas to cook alongside industry-leading chefs for NFL greats and distinguished guests. A great opportunity for our students who may want to pursue a career in the culinary field.
NUSD students and staff showed their support for the NHS Mustangs and Lady Stangs heading to Reno for the NIAA State Basketball Tournament. Wishing them the best of luck.
Chemehuevi Valley Elementary School is excited to reward hard-working students with a fun experience of helping in the kitchen. Students welcome the break from routine activities to try something new. Way to go Roadrunners!

Good luck to our NHS Boys Varsity, and our Undefeated League Champion Girls Varsity, as they travel to Ely, NV to play in 2A Southern League Tournament. A win on Friday and these teams will head to the State Tournament in Reno. Best of luck, Mustangs.
