Today, our high school math class had a unique learning opportunity with Mayor Jernigan, who spoke about auto, home, life, and umbrella insurance. She shared valuable insights on the current challenges facing California homeowners, including rising insurance rates, and how we can work to lower those costs. The Mayor emphasized the importance of good grades and maintaining a strong credit score to secure the best insurance rates. Students asked thoughtful questions on topics like getting insurance independently, the impact of tickets or accidents, and protecting oneself from insurance fraud. We appreciate Mayor Jernigan’s time and expertise. It was a great learning experience! #connectedtoneedlesusd
