Needles Unified will be participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs- Community Eligibility Provision this school year 2022-2023. What does this mean? All students enrolled with NUSD will be eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at school for FREE!

Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 715am until 8am for K-12. Students may come in and eat a hot or cold breakfast before going to their campus. We will be piloting a program for Vista Elementary this month that will serve breakfast in the classroom to all students! It is called Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC). Breakfast will be delivered and the students will use the first 15 minutes of class time to eat breakfast. If you have any questions regarding our breakfast program or the new pilot program, please contact Food Services Director Dawn McCann.

Menus will be provided monthly. There will be a choice of two entree's this year, with salad bar being available as an entrée choice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday K-12.

Middle school and High School will still be able to purchase al la carte items at the Snack Bar during Nutrition Break. This is not FREE. Students will need cash to purchase these items. There is also the option to place money on the students account. Please reference the EZ School Pay Program.
