NUSD Nutrition Information
NUSD Nutrition Programs
We believe that good nutrition is the key to good learning. Research has shown that children who regularly eat a balanced breakfast and lunch have better standardized test scores, better behavior, and were less hyperactive than children who skipped meals.
The Needles Unified School District serves breakfast and lunch to ALL District students at no cost, regardless of income, through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program. While a meal application is not required to receive meal benefits, each household is required to submit the School Funding Data Collection Form to ensure the maximum funding is available for each of our schools and classrooms.
