9/11 Remembered

Needles USD remembered 9/11 today with flags respectively at half-mast in honor of those lost in these devastating tragedies. In addition, elementary students honored these heroes with a remembrance first thing in the morning as part of class announcements and bulletin. NMS and NHS honored these memories as part of the day's Social Studies classes with discussions and video clips.

AVID Contract Signing A Success!

On Thursday, August 24th, Needles Middle School staff (Mrs. Breaux, Mr. Hatzenbuehler, Mr. Duchaineau, Mrs. Castillo, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Stahl, Principal Avila), District AVID Director Mrs. Armijo and Superintendent McNeil were on hand to support AVID Site Coordinator Mrs. Rowan at the first annual AVID Contract Signing for NMS students. Students in grades 6-7-8 and their parents signed their contract to commit to the AVID goals to celebrate their academic successes for the 2017-2018 school year! Celebrating ACADEMICS!
