The Governor of Nevada pushed back the start of sports from January 4th for the NIAA. On January 15th, Governor Sisolak will provide an update on the status of Winter, Fall and Spring sports for the NIAA. In order for NHS to play varsity sports this year, we will need both Nevada's Governor to provide approval for the NIAA as well as California's Public Health Department (CAPHD) to allow us to play as a California school district. CA PHD has identified the sports that can take place according to the status of the county (purple, red, orange, yellow). At this time, San Bernardino is in the purple, which indicates the most spread of the virus. This limits our ability to play at this time. CA DPH is working on the sports that are available during each of the color levels. This will be available shortly.
